SMART sponsors skoool.es – Intel’s Spanish online learning resource
SMART helps fund development of curriculum-based digital resources
CALGARY, November 9, 2006 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces its sponsorship of www.skoool.es, the Spanish online learning website from Intel® Performance Learning Solutions Ltd and Intel IT Innovation Centre, and Fundación Germán Sánchez Ruipérez of Spain. SMART’s sponsorship of skoool™ includes providing funds for the development of high-quality interactive learning materials for Spanish-speaking teachers and students. The first in a series of free lessons will be released in January 2007 and will focus on making math and science learning activities available to secondary school students. A selection of skoool activities will also be available within the Gallery of the Spanish version of SMART Board software.
Rich-media content on skoool includes video, graphic, audio and Adobe® Flash® files that reinforce learning, engage students and help them with their studies and exams. Resources are developed in conjunction with expert teachers and leading education authorities in Spain. SMART also sponsors skoool.co.uk, an online resource for students and teachers in the UK, (www.skoool.com).
